The mystery of Trust

NOVEMBER 17 / Antony Nembhard

You were asked: What is trust? Your responses were: believing in someone, honesty, dependability, reliability, credibility.  And although all true, do we understand the mechanism of trust?  Trust is a relationship of confidence where the actions of one directly relates to and affects all of the answers that above.  Trust is embedded in past experiences, wrapped in future hopes and tied to the moment.  It is fragile. Once broken, is very difficult to get back the level of confidence one had for the other.  The homework for this week is to have a conversation with your parents to see why they trust you and to figure out what you can do or continue to do to retain their trust.
